The Golden State Warriors faced the Memphis Grizzlies in the do or die Play-In game tonight. With the eighth seed on the line, both teams battled hard and didn’t rest for a second. Stephen Curry came into the game with the whole fan base expecting him to lead them to a win, but he was struggling.
By the end of the third quarter, Curry was shooting barely 40%. But he had his moments of brilliance throughout the game. Early in the second half, Curry had an amazing drive after he split the Grizzlies defense.
As he dribbled into the Grizzlies half court, he skipped past Ja Morant with a smooth behind the back dribble. With Jaren Jackson Jr on him, Curry used his excellent agility to blaze past him, before finishing with an exquisite scooped layup. He is not only the greatest shooter of all-time but also a very talented finisher.

Warriors need a Stephen Curry miracle
In their first play-in game against the Lakers, the Warriors got off to a superb start. They led right from the tip off and capitalized on the Lakers’ poor start. However, tonight was different, as the Grizzlies started off hot whereas the Warriors were slow. Curry stepped up as he always does and helped them to reduce the deficit, but the Grizz kept the pressure on.
Every time the Warriors tried to tie the game, the Grizzlies just kept firing at the other end. They didn’t allow Curry to get comfortable at all, and they had him rattled. It showed when Curry actually missed a wide open three. They clogged up the paint and didn’t allow the Warriors to get going on the perimeter as well.
Unless Curry has a much improved fourth quarter, the Warriors could be staring at a defeat. He has been the catalyst for their success all season so they heavily rely on him to win games. But he also needs support from his other teammates like Andrew Wiggins and Draymond Green.
There is only so much Curry can do by himself, and so it will be a tough job for him and the Warriors to take down the energetic Grizzlies team.
