VIDEO: 64 Second Knockout by Jordan Wright Lights up UFC 262 Preliminary Card

UFC 262 got off to an amazing start as four of the first five fights started with a finish. However, the most spectacular of them was definitely Jordan Wright and his finish against Jamie Pickett. The fight lasted all of 65 seconds, and Wright added another statement win in his arsenal.

Pickett started the fight positively with some shots here and there, but Wright looked like he had the upper hand. The fight went to the fence, and then Wright looked out of depth. However, Pickett kept his head out, and his American counterpart capitalized on it.

Wright rained heavy elbows on Pickett’s head and dropped him. Pickett stood up only to be charged down by Wright again and getting a knee to the head. He finally finished the fight with multiple shots on the ground. It was all over in 64 seconds, and Wright improved to an amazing record of 12-1-1.

Amazingly, Wright has now finished all 12 of his wins. They are divided into seven wins via knockout and a further five via submission. His one loss also came via knockout, and that was against another fighter known for his finishing skills in Joaquin Buckley.

He’s now 2 and one in the UFC in three fights and seems to have recaptured the form that got him into the organization. He’s still 29 and has a lot of time to rise up the ranks to finally challenge for a title. He surely does have the challenge.

Buckley was coming off of his insane knockout, which won the knockout of the year and wanted to keep the momentum up. He did just that, finding a home with his heavy hands in the opening moments of the second round to drop and stop Wright just 18 seconds into the frame.

However, this was another preliminary card appearance for Wright, and he does seem like he will be in the conversation for a main card appearance soon.

Do you think Jordan Wright is good enough to be in the top 15 in the UFC official rankings for middleweight?
