The Sebastian Fundora hype train continues with yet another knockout victory. The towering 6’6” fighter demolished the veteran Cota in four rounds to prove his worth yet again. So how did the fight between Sebastian Fundora and Jorge Cota go?
The two fought on the undercard of the Andy Ruiz Jr. vs. Chris Arreola event. The two put on an exciting fight which enthralled the fans at the arena. In the end, the young superstar showed his class and extended his record to 17-0-1 with another knockout victory.
How did the fight between Sebastian Fundora and Jorge Cota pan out?
Both fighters wasted no time in stamping their authority on the fight. The two traded massive hits in the first round and landed a total of 110 power shots in round one. This continued in the second and it was clear that both fighters came to fight on the inside. This made for an exhilarating fight for fans.
As the fight progressed into the third round, Fundora started to find a rhythm and started teeing off on Cota. However, the veteran showed his incredible chin and landed hard counters of his own. However, Cota took more of the damage and it showed.

How did the fight end?
As the fight progressed into the fourth round, the two fighters slowed down a little. However, Fundora used his rhythm to tee off on the 33-year-old. Ultimately, the 23-year-old landed a hard left-hook which hurt Cota.
The 33-year-old tried to hold on and move to avoid damage. However, the towering 6’6” super-welterweight continued to land hard shots until the referee intervened and called the fight. However, some may question the stoppage as Cota was still throwing when the referee came in.
Regardless of the stoppage, it was clear that the towering super-welterweight would eventually knock out his opponent. It was only a matter of time and thus, there can be no argument with who was the better fighters on the night. However, Cota deserves huge respect for going up against Fundora the way he did.
