Rebuilding Dogs line up another poaching raid

Talented Warriors utility Jazz Tevaga is the latest player on the Canterbury Bankstown wish list.

Tevaga, aged 25 and a Samoa international, is coming off contract and has been offered a new two-year deal by the Warriors.

But he is also in the sights of the Bulldogs, who are at the beginning of a rebuilding phase.

Trent Barrett's men have already made three excellent signings for 2022 - Josh Addo-Carr (Melbourne Storm), Matt Burton (Penrith Panthers) and Brent Naden (Penrith Panthers).

But all three are backs and the club is also looking to bolster its forward arsenal.

Tevaga is one of the most versatile players in the NRL and that adds to his value - at the 2018 Dally M Awards he was named the inaugural Interchange Player Of The Year.

He can play anywhere in the pack as well as five-eighth and centre and since winning that award, he has become a regular member of the Warriors side in the back row.

The Bulldogs will have money to spend, with a cleanout coming, and are likely to be able to more than match the Warriors' offer for Tevaga.
