Mavericks Luka Doncic Adds His Name Next To Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant With Postseason Record

Anything said about Dallas Mavericks’ superstar, Luka Doncic will never be enough. Whether it’s in the regular season or in the playoffs, he has wowed fans with his leadership and prowess on the court. Just 22-years-old, the Slovenian already is a two-time NBA All-Star and has led the Mavs to the postseason again. This is just his third year in the league and already he is piling up his accolades like none other.

Luka Doncic already making history

Doncic is considered one of the best players in the league right now. Although the Dallas Mavericks had a slow start to the season, he quickly helped them pick up their pace and landed them the fifth spot in the Western Conference.

Currently locking horns with the LA Clippers in the first round of the playoffs, Dallas has taken the lead in the series. The playoffs have just begun and Luka has already created history with his performance.

As per ESPN Stats and Info, “Luka Doncic has had 30 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists in all 3 games this postseason. Only Michael Jordan (2x), Kobe Bryant, and Russell Westbrook have had longer streaks in a single postseason all-time.”

To be part of such an elite group at such an early stage in his career is applaudable. But this is just the start and the sky is the limit for this superstar.

Can the Mavericks move past the Clippers?

Despite a powerful start in Game 3, the Clippers made a remarkable comeback and winning their first game by 119-108. The Clippers are, without a doubt, the more talented team, and yet it’s the Mavs that are leading the series.

Doncic finished the night with 44 points, 9 assists, and 9 rebounds but wasn’t given the support he needed from his other teammates like Kristaps Porzingis, who had a disastrous shooting night. That is the only area where the problem lies. As long as Luka gets enough backup, the Mavs are good to go.

The Clippers had far better scorers and Game 4 will be as intense as the others. LA will try to tie the series to take the pressure off, while Doncic will try to maintain the lead they have worked so hard for. The Mavs are definitely the favorites to win this matchup.
