Matt Riddle Steals Randy Orton’s RKO to Flatline Xavier Woods on WWE Raw

Matt Riddle and Xavier Woods just had a ripper of a match on WWE Raw. The youngsters went out there with a point to prove and took each other to the absolute limit. In the end, Riddle used an unlikely move to put down his gritty rival.

After Randy Orton severed RK-Bro’s friendship with the New Day, Riddle tried to mend things with them. However, Woods spurned Riddle’s attempts, leading to a match between the two on Raw. After Kofi Kingston shockingly beat Randy Orton last week, it was up to Riddle to pick up a win for his team.

The Original Bro not only needed the win to get one over on the New Day, but also mend his broken friendship with Orton. However, Woods was no slouch tonight and brought his A-game. He showcased his power moves, which included a freakish vertical suplex and an amazing Death Valley Driver on the apron.

Riddle tried to keep Woods at bay with suplexes and strikes, but the relentless New Day member stayed on the offence. Woods connected with a missile dropkick from the top rope, but the former United States Champion stopped him in his tracks with a devastating German suplex from the apron.

With his opponent not willing to back down, Riddle needed to hit a move that would’ve ended Woods’ flurry. Since he needed to send a message to Orton, he hit Woods with an RKO out of nowhere to pick up a huge win on Monday Night Raw.

What’s next for RK-Bro?

With Randy Orton not on the show, we’ll have to wait for the Viper’s response to Riddle stealing his move. While it wasn’t on Orton’s level, the RKO from Riddle was spot on and a brilliant way to close out a wonderful match between him and Woods.

After Raw, it looks like Orton, and Riddle should mend their friendship and begin teaming up again. The Raw Tag Team Championships beckon them, as they’re the best wrestlers on Raw right now. With a performance like this, WWE might be interested in pushing Riddle into the main event scene.

Will we see Orton and Riddle co-exist and become tag team champions once again, or will the New Day foil their plans once again?
