Newcastle Knights enforcer David Klemmer is facing up to three weeks out of action after being charged for his high shot on Ben Trbojevic on the weekend.
Klemmer was dealt a grade two careless high tackle charge for his hit in the final minute of the game against the Sea Eagles.
The tackle was a brutal welcome to the NRL for the youngest Trbojevic brother Ben who had just run on for his debut. It was his first and only touch of the ball and he was forced to finish the game on the sidelines.
Klemmer was sin-binned for the tackle just before the Knights sealed a 18-10 victory at McDonald Jones Stadium.
Seven other players appeared on the NRL Judiciary's report sheet from Sunday's Round 12 games, including four more from the Knights-Sea Eagles clash.
Newcastle's Tyson Frizell and Martin Taupau both copped a grade one careless high tackle charge, while Manly's Tevita Funa was given a grade one charge for a crusher tackle and teammate Sean Keppie is facing a grade two charge for taking out Phoenix Crossland high after a kick. Keppie was lucky not to be sent off for the hit.
Manly coach Des Hasler was fuming after the loss about the officiating in the game.
"Well done to Newcastle, they got the two points, but they were ably assisted, let's be honest," Hasler said post-game.
Meanwhile, Titans trio David Fifita, Mitch Rein and Moeaki Fotuaika were all put on report for incidents in the first 10 minutes against the Sharks involving Cronulla's Toby Rudolph.
Fifita was hit with a grade one contrary conduct charge and the duo of Rein and Fotuaika were both given a grade one dangerous throw charge.
