Cambage selection ends Tokyo boycott fears

Australian WNBA star Liz Cambage will play at her third Olympics after being included in the Opals' 12-woman squad for Tokyo.

Cambage's inclusion comes after she threatened to boycott the Tokyo Games over her concerns surrounding a lack of diversity during the Australian Olympic Team's recent photoshoot.

The 29-year-old will join a star-studded lineup, which includes fellow WNBA stars: Rebecca Allen (New York Liberty), Ezi Magbegor (Seattle Storm), Leilani Mitchell (Washington Mystics), Alanna Smith (Phoenix Mercury) and Steph Talbot (Seattle Storm).

The squad will be captained by Jenna O'Hea of the Southside Flyers in Australia's WNBL competition.

The Opals are currently ranked number two in the world. Their draw in Pool C will include matches against Belgium, Puerto Rico and China.
