‘Too Frustrated’: Warriors’ Draymond Green Has a Critical Assessment of Rookie James Wiseman

The Golden State Warriors are yet to settle into the season and they’re experiencing rocky moments on the court. As the team is giving rookie James Wiseman valuable starts, he still needs to adjust himself to the intensity of the league, feels Draymond Green.

Draymond Green speaks out about James Wiseman’s inexperience

Draymond Green’s return to the Warriors’ roster has certainly helped in several aspects as they were visibly struggling in their first few games of the season.

Meanwhile, Wiseman has already shown glimpses of his extraordinary talent, but he needs time to fit into a team that won three championships in the last decade.

Draymond Green addressed the shortcoming in Wiseman’s game during his recent media availability. The 3x All-Star has been mentoring the #2 draft pick, and he spoke out about the improvements Wiseman requires.

“He gets too frustrated with himself. He gets so frustrated he kind of takes himself out of his game,” Green mentioned

Green has evolved into a leader in the Warriors franchise, and he imparts his game wisdom into the upcoming talents on the team.

“I told him, I probably had one of the worst games of my career last night, but made some plays down the stretch. You have to be able to forget,” recollected Green on what he told Wiseman.

The 19YO center is averaging precisely 11.0 points in his rookie year and has the capacity to go for more. Wiseman’s also an excellent defensive stopper which makes him a threat on the post.

Can the Golden State Warriors deliver without Klay Thompson this season?

Steph Curry is doing everything he humanely can to put the Warriors into winning ways. The two-time MVP is leading the scoring charts with 30 PPG, while Wiseman is the top rebounder for the Warriors.

However, Draymond Green is just a few games into his season debut, and will soon pick things up with Curry in a few games’ time. These two have their leadership duties sorted for the season and it is vital that they stay fit round the clock.

The other set of responsibilities fall to the supporting cast, which includes Andrew Wiggins and Kelly Oubre Jr. A string of inconsistent performances have hurt the team already, but Golden State is well stacked on paper.

An injury-free season can aid the Warriors and help them sustain the regular-season, after which the postseason challenge will arise. They’ve got a loaded roster with players who must carry their own responsibility and perform when it matters.

Steve Kerr’s men will then have to perform in the postseason, and the Western Conference is now under the helm of a different franchise. The Dubs are not favorites to win the Championship, but they can rise up and pose a tough fight in the conference battles.
