Lamar Jackson set expectations in 2019 after a blistering year with the Baltimore Ravens. The 23-year old quarterback won the NFL MVP award by unanimous vote for his displays last season. However, this year is a bit different.
Jackson’s numbers are nowhere as bad as people are making it to be. But his overall impact for the Ravens has taken a bit of a dip as compared to 2019. But all that can change on Sunday as Baltimore takes on Derrick Henry’s Tennessee Titans in the Wild Card Round.
Here’s a detailed look at both teams, along with injury updates and Wild Card Round Playoff predictions.

Coach Mike Vrabel and OC Arthur Smith deserve credit for what they’ve been doing for the last couple of years in Nashville. The pair has turned the Tennessee Titans into consistent AFC Championship contenders after making a trip to the NFL Playoffs once again. But a special mention is reserved for record-breaking running back, Derrick Henry.
The highly-rated NFL RB has barged his way into the NFL MVP race along with Aaron Rodgers and Patrick Mahomes. Along with QB Ryan Tannehill, Henry will be key for the Titans on Sunday. Coach Vrabel has a fully fit squad to choose from which is a luxury in itself. But he will need his defensive stars to be at their very best to stop reigning NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson.

Despite all the criticism directed their way, the Ravens are on an upward trend heading into Sunday’s game at the Nissan Stadium. They ended their season with an 11-5 record, winning their last five games in succession. Once again, it is a make-or-break game for 23-year old Lamar Jackson who will be in the limelight.
The Ravens do have quite a few players listed as ‘questionable’ for tomorrow. But not a single player on this list missed all three days of practice. Coach Harbaugh knows he can utilise the big guns when the time comes.
All eyes will be on the Ravens defence led by Marlon Humphrey, Mark Andrew, and rookie Patrick Queen. They will need to be alert and effective in order to put a stop to King Henry. This is going to be fun to watch from a neutral POV.

This game is going to be a little too close to call. But we are going to side with the young Florida quarterback and the Ravens on Sunday. John Harbaugh’s boys have built up some momentum in the last month or so. They are an in-form team with a strong defense, capable of stopping the dangerous Derrick Henry.
We all know how dynamic Lamar Jackson can be when it’s his day. But he needs to prove himself in post-season. The former Heisman Trophy winner will do exactly that this weekend.
