Fall Guys to Finally Add the G2 Esports Skin but is it Too Late?

G2 eSports was one of the four bidders who put up money to get a custom skin in Fall Guys. After the addition of Ninja’s and MrBeast’s skin, the turn for the G2 skin has finally arrived. After the organization’s domination in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and Valorant, it is ready to rule over another game.

The G2 eSports skin in arriving at the game on Saturday, January 2, 2021. This would be the first major addition to Fall Guys in 2021 and G2 is happy to take the honor.

Based on the organization’s logo, the skin has a samurai outfit. The primary color of the outfit is black with highlights of red. Moreover, the G2 logo is on the skin’s belt with its name written on the sheath of the katana.

Are the custom Fall Guys still worth the massive amount of money?

Both Ninja and MrBeast paid $250K a piece for their custom skins in Fall Guys. G2 on the other hand bid $130,003 to own a skin in the game too. Per a charity drive to raise money for Special Effect, the game opened bids in August 2020 for anyone who wants to have their own custom skin in the game.

This was at a time when the game was smashing records and climbing charts. It had millions of downloads on steam and almost every streamer on Twitch or YouTube was playing the game. However, things went downhill quickly for Fall Guys as Among Us stole the spotlight.

Since then, the game has lost both, its audience as well as fame. While many players still hang on to the game, the number of streamers playing it is extremely less. Ninja played it briefly when he got his custom skin and we might see some gameplay from G2 too. However, it would nowhere be close to how the game reigned previously.

Instead of millions, only thousand will be seeing the custom skins and only hundreds will be buying them. Therefore, if the bidders expected any publicity from these skins, they can bid it farewell. Regardless of any of this, the game still managed to raise a million dollars for charity.
