“We Have to Live With It” – Steiner Predicts More Misery at Haas F1

Haas F1 has seen an unfortunate downfall since their promising debut in 2016. The American team saw it’s best season in 2018 as they finished at P5 of the constructor championships. However, the very next season was their worst performance ever as they finished at P9 on the championship standings.

This season has been nothing less than a disaster for the team. They qualified as the slowest team at the Bahrain Grand Prix. However, Guenther Steiner believes the worst is yet to come.

He said, “It’s not that I’m looking forward to next week, to be honest, If you think this is bad, wait for next week.”

Haas have lost most lap time at Bahrain since last year

The three Ferrari teams have all underperformed compared to their last visit to Bahrain. Kevin Magnussen and Romain Grosjean qualified 18th and 19th respectively, with just Nicholas Latifi behind them.

Steiner believes that the circuit next weekend, with more frequent acceleration zones will be more challenging. According to the report, “It’s the fifth time this year, and the third time in the last four races, that Haas has lapped slowest out of F1’s 10 teams.”

“We know why we are where we are at the moment. So we just try to make the best out of it. You never know what can happen. Obviously we have the slowest car here this weekend and we have to live with it,” he further added.

Haas announced earlier this season that both Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen will not be driving for Haas next season. It is reported that the changes are due to financial difficulties. Formula 2 drivers Mick Schumacher and Nikita Mazepin are most likely to join Haas next season.

Steiner said. “We’ve had good times and life is not always having just good times. Sometimes you have to go through bad times to appreciate the good times even more.” Meanwhile, Steiner is trying to get the most out of this situation.

George Russell is driving the Williams to its limit. Once again, he took the care to qualifying 2. His only aim for the rest of the season is to get Williams on points. Meanwhile, Haas will just try to ensure they do not end up at the bottom of the table.
