Blues star officially ruled out of Origin series

NSW Blues lock Cameron Murray has been officially ruled out of the rest of the 2020 State of Origin series after suffering a hamstring injury in Game One.

In the first half of the match the Blues star went down awkwardly while being tackled by Queensland's Jai Arrow and Josh Papalii and immediately limped off the field, with assistance from NSW trainers.

The incident happened just five minutes after Murray had entered the game off the bench, and he did not return to the field following the injury.

On Thursday morning NSW Rugby League released a statement that Blues coach Brad Fittler had confirmed Murray's hamstring injury "would rule him out of the remainder of the series", despite it not being considered "serious".
