NASCAR has clearly not received the memo that 4-wide racing rarely ends well. The NASCAR Xfinity drivers certainly did not get it or flat out ignored it. As a result, poor old Noah Gragson and Austin Cindric paid the price, and how!
Apparently, Cindric got a little sideways upon exiting the corner. In the process, his fish-tailing car clipped Noah Gragson, though Gragson was the one who sent him into a half-spin.
From there, the two cars were practically glued to each other as they constantly rubbed tires and damaged their cars.
“I was so close down the backstretch when Noah and Austin and them guys crashed,” race winner Chase Briscoe said. “Honestly Austin, I don’t know how he kept it going straight. He was wrecked in front of me three or four times.”

How did Noah Gragson, and Austin Cindric do in the race?
Sadly, Gragson’s team failed to repair the car in time, so he was classified as last. Apparently, NASCAR has a damaged vehicle policy clock and the team could not complete the repairs within the stipulated time.
Meanwhile, Austin Cindric had a far better outing as his team was able to turn the car around much quicker. Owing to this, the 22-year-old found himself still deep in the competition for the win.
Unfortunately, those were only temporary and he was forced to make more trips to pit road for extended repairs behind the pit wall.
He lost more than 15 laps in the race and plummeted well down the order in 28th place. To make matters worse, Chase Briscoe’s win means that he has now acquired a significant advantage in the championship.
In addition to that, he has now qualified for the championship race. Joining Briscoe in the Top-3 was Daniel Hemric in spite of hitting the wall early on and losing 2 laps. Ryan Sieg found himself alongside the Top-2 followed by Justin Haley and Austin Hill.
