Star Cats forward Tom Hawkins has been placed into quarantine ahead of this Saturday's AFL Grand Final with Richmond.
Hawkins, who this year earned All-Australian honours and claimed the Coleman Medal, didn't train with his side today after reportedly feeling unwell.
The club is confident their star forward will be right and believes that a case of "sore throat" has passed through his family, according to Nine's AFL reporter Ayrton Woolley.
"A touch of intrigue with Tom Hawkins not training," Woolley tweeted.
"Club says currently being quarantined from teammates after feeling unwell.
"Apparently nothing major. Sore throat passed around his young family. Cats taking every precaution, so not to affect teammates."
