This year’s Bathurst 1000 qualifying session gets underway at 4:05pm (AEDT), on Friday, October 16.
The sessions runs for approximately 40 minutes, although it can be stopped due to events like crashes or adverse conditions. Qualifying time is used to set positions 11 to 26 on the grid, with the top ten positions being decided by the top ten shootout on Saturday night.
How to watch qualifying for the Bathurst 1000 on TV
You’ll have two options to watch Bathurst 1000 qualifying; Fox Sports and Channel Ten.
If you’ve got a valid Foxtel TV subscription with the sports package, you’ll be able to take advantage of their special Bathurst 1000 channel, running on Foxtel channel 506. They’ll have wall-to-wall coverage of Bathurst 1000 throughout the weekend, with qualifying one of the biggest items on the bill.
If free-to-air is your only option, don’t worry, Channel Ten will Bathurst 1000 coverage from 12pm to 5pm (AEDT) on the Friday, including qualifying.
How to live stream qualifying for the Bathurst 1000 online
You’ll have a few options if you want to live stream Bathurst.
The best option is Kayo Sports, a streaming service that lets you access all of Foxtel’s sporting content on your preferred device for $25 a month – although you may be eligible for a two-week free trial if you’ve never used the service before.
Alternatively, you can use Foxtel Now, if you want to stream more than just Foxtel’s sport content, or Foxtel Go if you’ve already got a Foxtel subscription – the latter app is a free inclusion within your plan.
There’s also Tenplay, Channel Ten’s streaming service – which is free.
