Aaron Rodgers-led Green Bay Packers are on a 4-1 record heading into Week Seven of the ongoing NFL season. Barring last weekend’s 38-10 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Packers have been largely impressive in their second season under Matt LaFleur. Aaron Rodgers, in particular, has been making some big plays ever since the league began in September. A big reason behind Rodgers’ dominance was the performance of his O-line which included star LT David Bakhtiari.
Bakhtiari was a fourth-round pick at the 2013 NFL draft event. He has started in 111 games for the Packers and is regarded by many as one of the ‘leaders’ in the team dressing. However, it appears that the Wisconsin-based franchise will be without Bakhtiari heading against the Houston Texans on Sunday.

Green Bay Packers will be without offensive tackle David Bakhtiari tomorrow

Head coach Matt LaFleur will be disappointed that he won’t be able to count upon the services of offensive tackle David Bakhtiari. The 29-year old will miss out on the clash against Deshaun Watson-led Houston Texans with a chest injury. As mentioned above, he has not traveled with the rest of the Packers squad to Houston for tomorrow’s game at the NRG Stadium.
This will be the first Packers game that Bakhtiari will not participate in since 2017. In fact, this will just the second game he will miss out on in his seven-year stint with the Wisconsin-based franchise. The four potential players to replace Bakhtiari in the offensive line are Rick Wagner, Elgton Jenkins, Billy Turner, and Yosh Nijman. Among these four, Turner is most likely to get the nod for Sunday’s game in Texas.
All eyes will be on Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers on Sunday. The two-time NFL MVP had a forgettable outing against the Buccaneers last weekend where he threw two interceptions (one pick-six) in the first half itself.
Along with Russell Wilson and Ryan Tannehill, Rodgers is also in contention for the NFL MVP award. Rodgers has 1,300+ yards to his name with 13 passing TDs from five games. Will he lead the Packers to the Super Bowl this season?
