The short, heartwarming birthday wish from her coach Patrick Mouratoglou was encouraging and recalls her journey from an early teen to the legend of the game she established herself as. Even though she’ll be wished by millions this day, the wish from Patrick will be one of the closest she will hold on to.
“39 years young today and still on the courts! Who would’ve thought? On tour since you are 14 years old, you are still willing to improve every day in your tennis. Passion, ambition, the determination at their highest level, this is you”, the tweet read.

To be a successful student and coach duo in any sport, the most important factor is the bonding. Without proper strong bonding between the two, it is not possible to allure achievements towards you. The bonding should exceed that of a coach and establish as a friend, philosopher, and guide in one.
Serena Williams and Patrick Mouratoglou share a splendid bond between themselves. Ever since 2012, the duo has been working together. Serena suffered a loss in the opening round of the French Open 2012. The loss led her to rope in Patrick and the duo got stronger ever since then.
In these 9 years, the duo clinched 10 Grand Slam titles between themselves. While the US Open and the Wimbledon Championship was won thrice between them, they shared the Australian Open and the French Open on two occasions. Winning the year-end Championship titles on three consecutive years, Serena reached the pinnacle of her career with Patrick by her side. She made considerable improvements in the WTA rankings as she reclaimed the top spot with her streaks of success.
Ever since her return to the court following her pregnancy, Serena has shown her old form time and again. However, she seems to lose it, and therefore, she is without a Grand Slam since 2017. Although she still remains one of the best in the court and is capable of turning matches in her way at any instant. Hopefully, we do get to see the duo celebrating another Grand Slam win before she decides to hang up her racquet.
