Matt LaFleur Wants Aaron Rodgers-led Packers To Continue Practice At Lambeau Field

Green Bay Packers start the 2020 season as outside contenders to challenge for the NFC Championship. They fell short by a short margin last year as they bowed out with a loss against the San Francisco 49ers. Veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers was partly to blame for that loss. However, a lot has changed since then.

The Packers brought in Utah State star Jordan Love to keep A-Rod on his toes. They’ve made some smart roster moves and also drafted talented rookie AJ Dillon in the 2020 NFL draft. The Packers start the 2020 season as favorites to top NFC North and coach Matt LaFleur is leaving no stone unturned in preseason prep.

Matt LaFleur Gets Green Bay Packers to train at Lambeau Field ahead of season opener

As per the above tweet, LaFleur is eager for his team to play inside a ‘noise-fueled’ Lambeau Field. A large reason behind that was his explanation that he wanted his players to get the feel of playing inside a crowd-filled stadium. Of course, the league does not have the required approval from government officials to open stadium doors for fans. However, certain teams will allow a small number of fans to attend home games.

LaFleur further heaps praise on highly-rated running back AJ Dillon

LaFleur spoke highly of the Packers’ running back corps. which is headlined by stars, Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon.

“We feel really confident with our running back core as a whole unit. I think you’re going to see all of those guys in the mix. They all bring something a little different to the table.

“I think A.J. has shown improvement. Like any young back, there is a lot to learn in this offense, just in terms of the pass game, in pass protection. Certainly, he has some great skills as a runner. He’s gotta have the mindset that he better be ready to roll,” LaFleur told Packers News after Sunday’s practice session.

The Packers start their season with a mouth-watering game against NFC North rivals, Minnesota Vikings. Can coach Matt LaFleur begin his second year as head coach with a win? A lot of that depends on star quarterback, Aaron Rodgers.
