“I Feel Like I Was Just in A Car Accident” – Ben Roethlisberger After New York Giants Win

Two-time Super Bowl winner, Ben Roethlisberger, had a nervy start to his outing against the New York Giants on Monday night. However, he grew into the game and ultimately led the Pittsburgh Steelers to their first win of the 2020 season.

Roethlisberger’s 2019 season ended on September 15 last year. Almost a year later, the 38-year-old threw for 229 yards and completed three passing TDs. Roethlisberger is definitely an early front-runner for the NFL Comeback of the Year award, and rightly so.

The veteran NFL quarterback talked about his struggle with injuries in a recent interview. He revealed that he does feel sore at the moment, but his arm “doesn’t hurt”.

“Today I feel like I was just in a car accident. [Tuesday], I felt like I was in a train wreck. Hopefully, [Thursday] it just feels like I fell off a bike or something. I’m definitely sore,” Roethlisberger said. “There was rust early. Even late, it’s not like I played perfectly. I looked at sometimes that I maybe got up in the pocket a little too quick or didn’t have the same feel in the pocket early on that I’m probably used to having.”

Roethlisberger will now continue his weekly workout regime. However, he will not practice on Wednesday as the main focus remains to keep his elbow warm. He added, “That’s going to be the biggest thing from what I have been told is making sure it stays warm, throw some passes on the sidelines if there is a long series or something. For the most part, we are just going to do everything we can to keep it healthy and warm.”

The Steelers will next go up against the Denver Broncos and Houston Texans on home turf in the coming weeks. Can Roethlisberger’s return to full fitness spur the Steelers to the playoffs this year?
