The entire gamut of sports is slowly getting back to the live event format gradually. Amidst the entire pandemic situation, the Call of Duty League is considering holding the 2021 championships in a bubble-type environment. However, a large section of the competitive community has opposed this idea on the surveys that authorities have conducted.

The estimated length of the entire tournament in a quarantined setting is about 5 months. Now, for obvious reasons, holding LAN matches as a part of the CDL in a quarantined setting does seem less likely to be feasible for players.
HecZ and Scump not convinced by Call of Duty League suggestion
However, on a recent podcast, both HecZ and Scump seem to have certain solutions that will allow players to participate in a bubble CDL season. Scump, the captain of the Chicago Huntsmen roster, mentioned that since he is a busy man, staying away from his home for this long will hamper his daily responsibilities and work.
Scump made a good point against this by saying that living in a bubble for 5 months will be problematic for many teams out there. He also pointed out that players living in rented houses or apartments might have difficulty in maintaining it if they leave for almost half a year. Moreover, he said it will get in the way of his current daily responsibilities.
So did he offer any solutions to these issues? He sure did.
He suggested breaking down the 5-month tenure into segments, which he lives will also make it easier to organize.
HecZ agreed with Scump and made his stance clear too. He too believes conducting an event for 5 months will not be a feasible option for the CDL. However, prelims for a couple of weeks to a month leading up to the next stages and a mid-season championship might just work for the League.
There is still some time left until the authorities get this plan in motion. As of now, Dallas and Las Vegas are the spots the League has chosen for hosting the matches in a bubble environment.
