2K Support Overwhelmed By Requests Due To NBA 2K21 Launch Issues

NBA 2K21 has launched to a very mixed review from the community. While some appreciate the changes to create a skill gap by tweaking the shot meter, others find this game to be NBA 2K20 with aesthetic changes. The shot meter itself is a massively controversial issue. Ronnie 2K said they won’t be patching it, but then they released a patch that changed it a little.

One of the biggest issues has been players not being able to avail their pre-order rewards. 2K incentivized fans into buying the game by offering various add-ons, including 100,000 VC. While many fans have been confused regarding whether next gen pre-order bonuses apply to current gen consoles, the issue seems to be plaguing everyone.

2K has addressed the issues multiple times in the days since the game launching. They first addressed issues specific to players on Xbox. Then they issued a tweet saying that they have received a lot of tickets and require patience. Yikes.

NBA 2K21: Fan outrage?

NBA 2K21

Fans have flooded Twitter with concerns regarding the game’s bonus content and when it will be made available to them. Considering the massive scale of micro-transactions in modern AAA titles, these in-game bonuses can mean a lot to players that look for a boost on their progress. Considering the different financial backgrounds of each customer, it could a massive loss for many people.

While this is an issue that should be resolved soon, there is no telling how 2K fixes this.
