Call Of Duty Warzone is all the rage these days. The largely popular battle royale game has now crossed the 75 million players mark and it keeps on growing. This is just after 5 months of its launch which is no small feat. The Season 5 of Modern Warfare and Warzone brought a ton of new changes to the game and fixe a lot of pesky bugs, too. There has been an increase in the number of tournaments that feature Warzone in recent times. The Toronto Ultra tournament, Nickmercs’ MFAM Gauntlet are two of the most famous examples of it. Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown is the latest addition to the COD partner tournaments and it looks interesting.
Vikkstar took to twitter to announce this tournament. Take a look at it below:
Excited to announce the launch of Vikkstar's Warzone Showdown!
I've partnered up with @CallOfDutyUK & @CODLeague to create a $210,000 prize pool! The BIGGEST Warzone has ever seen!

Vikkstar’s Warzone Showdown could feature a lot of big-name streamers
The tournament will run for 9 weeks and feature a prize pool of $210,000! That is the biggest prize pool compared to any other Warzone tournament. Vikkstar has partnered with Call of Duty UK and COD League tom make this happen. We know Activision recently decided to support Nicmercs’ MFAM Gauntlet tournament and increased the prize pool from $50,000 to $100,000. So the franchise backing a streamer organized tournament is not new. But considering the huge prize pool this tournament offers, we’ll possibly see an even bigger streamer line-up.

It will be interesting to see how the tournament turns out to be and who which streamers will captain their respective teams. Meanwhile, the COD League playoffs are in session and Atlanta Faze and Dallas Empire will battle it out in the Winner’s Final. Later today, we will find out who will be the two teams proceeding to the elimination round finals. Finally, on August 31st, we will have the final showdown for the title of this year’s COD League winner. There are no predictions at this stage as it could go either way. All the teams know that this is their last chance to take home the win and it will be one hell of a weekend. Stay tuned for more updates on the same.
