NBA Playoffs: Denver Nuggets vs Utah Jazz Game 4- Injury Updates and Predictions

The NBA Playoffs series between the Denver Nuggets and the Utah Jazz has become one of the most shocking ones. The higher seeded Nuggets have succumbed to back-to-back losses at the hand of Utah. Even though Denver won game one in OT, Utah responded with a big game two win. They followed it up with a near 40-point thrashing of Denver in game two, making everyone question if the higher seed can get it done.

Denver has been tormented by two players that they traded to the Jazz in Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert. However, they do have talent like Nikola Jokic who has struggled in this series. The fourth game is crucial for Denver to stay in the series, as there is probably no coming back from a 3-1 deficit for them.

The Nuggets and their injury issues continue. Gary Harris (hip) is still questionable, while Will Barton (knee) and Vlatko Cancar (foot) are ruled out. The Jazz only miss Ed Davis (knee) to injury. They have Justin Wright-Foreman available for selection after missing games due to non-injury reasons.

NBA Playoffs: Who wins game four?

The Jazz’s game three blowout coincided with the return of Mike Conley. Conley may have had a hard season, but he is still one of the most experienced and lethal players on the court. They also have the likes of Jordan Clarkson on the bench, another player with extensive playoff experience.

The Nuggets’ young core is showing what they lack in terms of playoff experience. The inability to make adjustments to the Jazz’s play-style has rued them to defeat this series. Game one saw them be carried by exceptional individual performances by Jamal Murray and Nikola Jokic. However, the Jazz has been able to lock them down. Gobert, in particular, has done a marvellous job on Jokic.

Who wins comes down to how Denver coach Mike Malone adjusts to the losses. He needs to be the one to keep his young players in line and be able to push them over the intense playoff hump. They fell to the experienced Trailblazers last season, and we predict that they fall in this pivotal game four. The Utah Jazz look too solid to be bet against right now.
