Surprising the vast majority, MiBR’s CS: GO team recently switched to the European region to compete in the ESL One Cologne. MiBR has been struggling for a while and the sudden shift perplexed many.
CS: GO teams get into a Twitter war
Heading into the competition, MIBR would have wanted to make a firm statement. Unfortunately, they fell short and by quite a mile.
They faced G2 Esports in the opening matchup, and it was a bloodbath. MIBR lost 2-0, but it was the manner of the loss that shocked the fans. They lost on both the maps and G2 enjoyed a vast gap in terms of the score.
G2 shone brightly throughout the match with most of their players putting in a stellar performance. As for MIBR, kNgV put in a remarkable performance, but that wasn’t enough to pull his team back up.
Chaos Esports did not want to miss out on the opportunity and mocked MIBR on their performance. They mocked MiBR by referring to trophies as ‘fossil’ since MiBR hasn’t won one in a while.

This really tipped off MIBR, and they shot back with a reply. MIBR posted a screenshot of Chaos’ in-game leader Joshua “Steel” Nissan. The message was obvious as they targeted the player for his match-fixing scandal.
Tried to create a meme with your players history but this was all we could find: pic.twitter.com/THOkvd8xjU

Steel was permanently banned from all Valve-association competitive events because of his involvement in the aforementioned scandal.
Steel tweeted back at MIBR and took a dig at their performance against G2.
“pay your players $150k per month to lose the major qualifier to a 16-year-old MDL player and a coach kkkkkkkk. Unlucky.”

Will they rise back to glory?
This isn’t the first time MIBR and Chaos have clashed either. Recently, there was an outburst of anger against Chaos player Leaf from MiBR fans. This came after Gaules accused Leaf of cheating in a match at CS Summit 6.
Fans sent death threats to Chaos members, and things got ugly real fast.
Primeiro camp no EU, tentamos o máximo, mas infelizmente ainda não foi dessa vez. Obrigado pelo apoio!
Our first EU tournament didn't end the way we wanted and unfortunately we are out. Thank you!

Their recent match with FaZe saw them lose once again. However, this time around, their performance was far better than what the community saw against G2.
The Esports organization holds a legendary position among the greats of Counter-Strike, but their recent performances have been underwhelming. Hopefully, they can recapture their claim among the top teams on the scene.
