Brad Fittler says Daly Cherry-Evans has "got to stand up" if Many are to stay in touch with the heavyweights while Tom Trbojevic is sidelined with a hamstring injury.
The Sea Eagles have a growing reputation for being ultra-reliant on their superstar young fullback in attack and they looked devoid of ideas for much of their disappointing 44-20 loss to the Sharks last week.

Both Fittler and Andrew Johns tipped against Manly again in their Sunday afternoon clash with the Newcastle Knights, with Fittler backing Kalyn Ponga to show he's "the best player on the field".
"It will be interesting with the Knights, the sign of a quality team is that rebound factor, when you get beat you're able to turn it around and just naturally win the week after regardless of who you're playing," Fittler said, following the Knights' horror performance last week against the Cowboys.
"You see the Storm and the Roosters, a lot of those good sides rarely lose two weeks in a row. To be in the top four you need to have that factor about ya.
"I think Kalyn Ponga is just the best player on the field. What I saw from Manly last week with no Turbo, I didn't see anyone … they lost all their shine."
Fittler said the returning Moses Suli, who missed last week's Sea Eagles loss due to injury, would boost the side's strike-power, but was adamant it was down to Cherry-Evans to lift his team.
"Daly's got to stand up, big time," Fittler said. "He's got to create some interest for all his team."
