Rizwan, Babar, Haider power PCB whites to 245-5 on Day 3

Derby: Half-centuries from Babar Azam, Haider Ali and Mohammad Rizwan put PCB Whites in control of the four-day intra-squad match against PCB Green at The Incora County Ground.

Team White were 245 for five in 77 overs when stumps were drawn on the third day. Captain Babar made 58 off 122 balls, hitting four fours and a six, while Haider registered a 75-ball 51.

Rizwan, who scored 54 runs in the first innings, returned undefeated on 81 off 132 balls, hitting 12 fours.

Yasir Shah took two wickets for 52 runs, while fast bowlers Abbas, Faheem and Naseem took a wicket each for Team Green.

Earlier, resuming their first innings on the overnight score of 162 for five, Team Green added only 19 runs before being bowled out for 181 in the 66th over.

Asad Shafiq only added one run on Day 3 before falling run out. His innings of 51 from 202 balls included five fours.

Sohail Khan was the pick of the bowlers for Team White, taking 5-50, while Shaheen Shah Afridi claimed three wickets for 33 runs.

Team White will start the fourth and final day’s play today leading by 313 runs with five wickets in hand.
