Brisbane Lions midfielder Mitch Robinson says star forward Charlie Cameron has no intentions of leaving the club despite recent reports.
Cameron has played a major role in the Lions' revival since arriving at the club prior to the 2018 season, being named an All-Australian for the first time last season.
While reports have suggested that an impasse on contract negotiations could see the 26-year-old request a trade to a Victorian club, his teammate says that will not happen.
"We got Charlie Cameron here a few years ago and he's been amazing for us, for our culture and for the playing group," Robinson told The AFL Sunday Footy Show.
"We know what he brings on the field but off the field he's a bit of a larrikin and the energy that he brings to our weight sessions, our training, just the smile he has every day.
"I've been seeing the rumours and innuendo in the media about him wanting to go, but he's told me to my face that he wants to stay so I think we can squash that pretty quick.
"We love having him up here and he loves the Brisbane Lions and the environment we've set for our team up here."
Cameron is currently under contract with Brisbane through the 2021 season and kicked a career-high 57 goals last season as the Lions finished with a top-four spot.
