A snooker star's heartfelt gesture during a match caught commentators completely off guard.
Alfie Burden was taking on Ryan Day in the Championship League at Milton Keynes in the UK when he did something during the match that stunned commentators.
Before Burden's turn, he suddenly took a knee beside the snooker table, solemnly bowed his head and then raised his arms to the sky and looked up, before returning to his feet and taking his shot.
"Well...you tell me what that was," one commentator remarked.
"Clearly Alfie wanted to make a point there."
The point that the world no.75 was trying to make was to show solidarity with George Floyd and the protests erupting around the world, speaking out against racism.
Floyd died after a police officer in Minneapolis in the USA knelt on his neck for almost nine minutes. The death has since sparked worldwide protests promoting the 'Black Lives Matter' movement and condemning inequality and police brutality.
"This was my platform. I stand behind the fight against racism. It's a disgraceful thing," Burden said according to the Press Association.
"The well-documented death of Floyd has touched everyone.
"There's no place for racism in society.
"My brother-in-law is the manager at Hendon FC, I am his assistant. I've seen all the footballers pay their respects. I felt it was the right thing to do.
"I have grown up with black people playing football. My best friend at school was black.
"I've an 18-year-old daughter and she has a black boyfriend. Floyd's death has brought it home to everyone."
Burden, 43, went on to lose the match against Day 3-0.
