The NRL is set to give players the freedom to leave the house for reasons outside of playing and training for the first time since the coronavirus lockdown.
League officials are nearing an agreement with respective state governments that will see the bio-security bubble players and nominated officials have been operating under finally burst, easing restrictions.
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that the final details are being signed off upon, with players expected to finally be able to enjoy the freedoms experienced by other members of society, as early as Saturday.
However, strong biosecurity protocols will still be enforced on game days.
