Renowned sprint coach Roger Fabri has raised concerns about Bronson Xerri's wellbeing, urging those closest to the 19-year-old to pass on his words of support after failed attempts to contact him.
Fabri has worked with some of the best Australia athletes, forming a strong reputation for helping athletes improve their performance.
In an exclusive interview with Nine News following the announcement that Xerri had tested positive to multiple performance enhancing substances yesterday, Fabri revealed he had been blown away by the speed improvements in the Sharks centre since last season.
He has also spoken openly about his personal battle with mental health and he shared his concern for Xerri in an Instagram post.
Fabri wrote: "I've been trying to reach out to you, I don't ride in the good times and jump off in the bad times, I hope I can offer some mental heath support and your (sic) always welcome to come back and train, if anyone speaks to Bronson please pass on my support his phone is off.

The coach expressed shock when the news broke telling Nine News the Cronulla star had been impressive during their time together.
"It's not often I see a guy with some serious speed like this guy had. Something that you would see from a track athlete. You know, people compare footballers to track athletes so often and maybe sometimes the athlete is a little bit disrespected on how fast they actually are - this guy (Xerri) is running times an athlete would be proud of."
Fabri was astounded by Xerri's potential with the Sharks centre clocking 6.5 seconds over 60 metres hand-timed, which In Fabri's book would be up there with the quickest – if not the quickest – footballer he's trained this offseason.
The youngster was also commended for his work ethic, with Fabri boasting Xerri would have made a huge impact on the NRL this year.
"We worked so hard," he said. "A lot of people come down to me in the off season and a lot of people weren't working all that hard.
"I was actually surprised at seeing some people let themselves deteriorate but this guy worked so hard, never missed a session. Dotted every 'i' and crossed every 't'.
"I've been so excited to see him play this weekend because I know if there was going to be a little bit of space that was open it was going to be game over. I was so excited to see him play this weekend. God only knows how he must feel."
