Just a day after putting his basketball career on hold indefinitely, Andrew Bogut has launched a scathing attack on the NBL and commentator Corey 'Homicide' Williams.
Bogut and Williams are no strangers to each other, with the Aussie star often taking jabs at Williams on his social media accounts.
This time, Bogut posted two screenshots, the first showing a report from Williams in January that South East Melbourne Phoenix would sign former NBA player Trevor Booker, a deal that never happened.
The second screenshot appeared to show an email from Phoenix owner Romie Chaudhari to Williams which fed him the information on the Booker deal.
"Corey, I hope all is well, I'm hoping you can help me with something and in return I'll give you some inside info," the email reads.
"We are officially announcing that we have signed Trevor Booker as a replacement for Keith Benson for this season and next.
"He'll also be joining our ownership group. We are really hoping and needing some positive media attention and in turn for giving you this scoop we are hoping that you can report it positively across your channels.
"As you can imagine, happy for you to report but please don't reference me as your source.
"I really appreciate your help and any questions call or text me … All the best, Romie."
Bogut then retweeted his own original tweet and asked the question: "Would you see the NBA or even Euro League have someone who officially works for their brand/league act and rant and rave like (Williams)?"
"But in (owner Larry Kestelman's) NBL, perfectly ok #bushleague."
Despite Bogut's constant jabs at him, Williams took the high road in the long-standing feud.
"Bogut had a great career and is an Aussie sporting icon," he told Wide World of Sports.
"He's been an asset to Aussie hoops in general and the NBL.
"Good luck with retirement. Well deserved big fella."
However, Williams did detail how Bogut had been beaten in specific match-ups over this two seasons in the NBL.
"Angus Brandt gave him the business," he tweeted.
"Shawn Long destroyed him. (Miles) Plumlee stopped him in the post pivotal game of the GF (Game 3). And (Bryce) Cotton finished em.
"You're 0-2 in the NBL. This ain't a cupcake league. Great career tho. PS. I told you he has a private investigator."
Bogut's latest jab at Williams appears to have come after the NBL commentator suggested that the former NBA star's retirement was due to NBL MVP Bryce Cotton returning.

"I told you all he'd retire once he knew Cotton was coming back.
"S--t, I'd retire too if I knew I can't beat THE BADDEST MAN IN THE LAND."
