Afridi, Yousuf urges Akhtar, Rizvi to peacefully end their conflict

Karachi: Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Yousuf want former pacer Shoaib Akhtar and Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi to peacefully end their conflict.

Mr. Rizvi filed a Rs100 million defamation suit against former pacer as he criticized Rizvi after Umar Akmal’s ban in a youtube video. He also called PCB’s legal advisor Taffazul Rizvi as an inept person.

Afridi is also ready to provide assistance on the matter too. “Shoaib Akhtar was one of Pakistan’s best-ever bowlers and match winners. As he said he respects law and lawyers, I hope him and Taffazul Rizvi can sort out their issues amicably in the coming days. I am ready to help them reach an amicable solution,” Boom Boom tweeted.

Yousaf believes that these things will have a bad impact on Pakistan cricket and young players. “There is no doubt that Shoaib Akhtar is a star player of Pakistan. Taffazul Rizvi and Akhtar can solve their matter with mutual understanding. Such things have a bad effect on our cricket and young players,” he tweeted.

However, the 44-year-old has once again taken a firm stance on the matter after receiving the notice from Mr.Rizvi.

I’ve received a notice from Tafazzul Rizvi which is based on lies & fabrications. I’ve engaged Mr. Salman Khan Niazi as my lawyer to send befitting legal reply on my behalf to said notice. I stand by my words regarding the incompetence & unsatisfactory performance of Mr. Rizvi,” he tweeted.
