There isn’t anything more important than protecting the health of ourselves. Former World No.3 Grigor Dimitrov star knows it as well. He is certainly disappointed as the tennis season is halted. However, the Bulgarian star explains that the sport isn’t the most important thing right now.
The novel coronavirus has led to the suspension of the tennis tour until at least June 7. Although going with the current situation, it is very likely that the suspension of the tour will be extended. Having said that, Dimitrov underlines staying healthy is the most significant thing during the pandemic.
“We can really only guess”: Grigor Dimitrov
Dimitrov is currently residing in California during the lockdown. Earlier, he revealed that he donated respirators to Haskovo hospital in Bulgaria and explained that everyone should be cohesive at this time.
“Tennis is a microscopic thing in the world right now. The ATP supervisors I’ve talked to in recent days have a variety of theories, but for the time being, we can really only guess if we’re being honest.” Dimitrov said during an interview with bTV.
Although the tournaments are cancelled, Dimitrov explicated that we have a big luxury in tennis and there is always next week.
“Yes, it is very difficult right now, you have seen the Olympics cancelled. The only thing that is at the forefront is to go through this situation we are in, and then start rebuilding,” he added.

The deadly coronavirus still continues to spread rapidly around the globe. Hence tennis tour resuming on June 7 seems far from reality.
