Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell Cleared of Coronavirus

Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell of Utah Jazz have been cleared of COVID-19.

Gobert and Mitchell were the first two cases of COVID-19 infection to have come out in the NBA. It was with Gobert’s infection initially that the NBA suspended its league. A few days later, Gobert’s teammate, Mitchell became the second coronavirus case in NBA after which a few more followed.

Following the revelation, all the players and staff connected with the Utah Jazz organization went into quarantine. After two weeks in isolation, the franchise has announced that all of their players and staff have tested negative for the virus.

“Fourteen days after being tested for COVID-19, all Utah Jazz players and staff have completed their respective periods of isolation and quarantine and have been cleared by the Utah Department of Health,” the team said in a statement.

“The UDOH has determined that all Jazz players and staff, including Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert who tested positive for the novel Coronavirus, no longer pose a risk of infection to others.”
