Mercedes F1 Take a Sly Dig at Racing Point on Instagram

The Coronavirus has officially killed the charm of the 2020 Formula One season. With the first eight races already canceled/postponed, the fans will be eagerly waiting for the season opener in Canada. In these testing times, F1 teams are doing their best to keep the fans entertained. Therefore, Mercedes F1 is engaging with its fans over Instagram. The team uploaded a template of the W11 and asked the fans to paint it.

The team said “We know what we’re doing today 😍🎨 Share your work with us using #ColorYourBenz! ❤️ More Mercedes templates 👉 mb4.me/KidsArtwork”

We have seen the light banter of teams on social media sites already in the past. The Mercedes F1 team also seems to like that. Above all, a fan said that he will paint it red and the response from the team was cheeky. Mercedes F1 took a sly dig at the Racing Point F1 team and said: “Just don’t paint it pink… @racingpointf1😂“.

Racing Point RP20 = Mercedes F1 W10?

The RP20 vehicle was named the ‘Pink Mercedes’ as soon as it was out, a close to carbon-fiber duplicate of Mercedes F1 2019 W10.

On the off chance that some midfield rivals are discontent with the likenesses, McLaren manager Zak Brown alluding to the group as ‘Copy Point’ while others favored ‘Tracing Point’, at that point, Racing Point head Otmar Szafnauer says that is only the manner in which it is.

Although, Racing Point technical director Andy Green says the group’s opponents aren’t right to condemn its RP20, demanding the pink outfit’s 2020 structure is “totally legitimate”.

I don’t know what they’ve got to complain about,” Green said, quoted by Crash.net.

“What we’ve done is completely legal, what we’ve done is racing with the rules that are written.

“That’s the idea of the game, you are given a set of rules and you go as fast as you can. That’s what we’re doing.

“If other teams haven’t taken the route that we’ve taken for reasons unknown to us, then that’s their decision.

“They had the same opportunity to do exactly what we did but they elected not to, for reasons I don’t know.”
