Lebron James Injury Update: Resurfaced Injury May Keep Lakers Star out of Upcoming Nets Game

Los Angeles Lakers superstar veteran LeBron James had one of his career-best games over the last weekend. However, he may not be able to do so for at least a while.

LeBron James is reportedly questionable to play n the matchup against the Brooklyn Nets Tuesday. He is injured with a sore left groin. Anthony Davis and Alec Caruso from the Lakers roster are also injured.

LeBron James (sore groin) is questionable for tomorrow’s game against Brooklyn, while Anthony Davis (sore elbow) and Alex Caruso (sore hamstring) are probable.

James’ injury trigger unknown

 

James looked fine on Sunday while helping lead the Lakers to win against the Los Angeles Clippers. He produced a dangerous duo last weekend along with Anthony Davis.

Together they got the better of Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee bucks and Kawhi Leonard’s Los Angeles Clippers. They did this whilst giving good stats.

After the Clippers game, however, LeBron had opened up about how the groin injury affected him.

“The injury [last season] hurt me a lot physically and mentally”, the veteran said.

“I put a lot of work into my game this offseason, a lot of work into my rehabbing with my groin, getting back to full strength,”

However, he did miss a game a couple of weeks back due to the same groin issue. Rajon Rondo made a spot start in that situation. He scored 12 points with 4 rebounds, 6 assists, and 2 steals in 25.8 minutes. Anthony Davis would have to step up  if James is unavailable.

James has had groin injuries before.

“We’re obviously not going to rush him back,” head coach Luke Walton after the injury first occurred.

 That groin injury forced James to miss 17 consecutive games. The Lakers went 6-11 during that stretch and fell out of the playoff picture out West.

James is averaging 25.7 points, 7.8 rebounds and 10.6 assists in this season. He’s shooting 49.7 per cent from the field, 34.7 per cent from beyond the arc and 70.4 per cent from the free-throw line.

James put up 29.0 points, 10.3 assists and 7.3 rebounds last week. He won yet another Player of the Week Award.
