India have qualified for the first time in the World T20 final and will face Australia or South Africa in Melbourne at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG) on Match 8, also celebrated as International Women’s Day.
England finished second in their group stage, one point behind South Africa. The proteas can also advance into the final if their clash on Thursday gets abandoned against the home side, Australia.
However, India got an advantage after topping their group, beating Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh that helped them advance to their maiden T20 World Cup final.
